Nourished 14 Days of Simple, Protein-Rich Meals for Real Life | Part 2
Eating well sounds simple enough—until it’s 5:30 in the evening, everyone is hungry, and you’re standing in front of the refrigerator hoping dinner will somehow figure itself out. And this concept of nourishing our bodies shouldn’t be torture. There shouldn’t be mental gymnastics trying to figure out how to fuel our bodies in a healthy way.
That’s where a little planning can make a big difference.

Here are 7 days of high protein meals for real life to make the meal planning a little easier.
Week One of Nourished
Week One of Nourished gives you seven days of simple, balanced meals that prioritize protein without sacrificing flavor or requiring a completely separate menu for the rest of the family.
Think filling breakfasts, easy lunches, satisfying dinners, and snacks that help keep you going between meals.
You’ll find familiar favorites like chicken fajita bowls, creamy garlic chicken, taco bowls, and comforting meals that don’t feel like traditional diet food.
And here’s the best part: you don’t have to follow the plan perfectly.
Swap Tuesday’s dinner with Friday’s. Eat leftovers for lunch. Repeat the breakfast you love three mornings in a row.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s having a plan that makes everyday life a little easier.
Explore Week One in the free Nourished meal plan below.
When you’re ready for more variety, head over to Week Two of Nourished for another seven days of delicious meal inspiration.
Week 1
| Day | Breakfast | Lunch | Snack | Dinner |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2 eggs + egg whites, whole-grain toast, berries & Greek yogurt | Grilled chicken ranch wrap + veggies | Apple + peanut butter + string cheese | Chicken fajita bowls with rice, black beans, peppers, avocado & salsa |
| 2 | Greek yogurt bowl with berries, granola, chia seeds & 2 boiled eggs | Turkey, cheese & avocado sandwich + cucumber + fruit | Cottage cheese + pineapple | Taco bowls with lean ground beef, rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese & salsa |
| 3 | Protein oatmeal with milk, peanut butter, banana & Greek yogurt | Chicken Caesar salad + whole-grain roll | Greek yogurt + berries | Sheet-pan chicken, roasted potatoes & broccoli |
| 4 | Breakfast burrito with eggs, turkey sausage, cheese & peppers + fruit | Leftover chicken bowl with rice and vegetables | Apple + cheese + almonds | Spaghetti with protein-rich pasta, lean meat sauce, salad & garlic bread |
| 5 | Cottage cheese toast with scrambled eggs + berries | Turkey taco salad with black beans, corn, avocado & salsa | Greek yogurt + banana | Salmon, roasted sweet potatoes & green beans |
| 6 | Protein pancakes topped with Greek yogurt, berries & peanut butter | Chicken quesadilla + salsa + veggie sticks | Cottage cheese + fruit | Burger bowls with lean beef, roasted potatoes, lettuce, tomato, pickles & homemade burger sauce |
| 7 | Eggs, turkey sausage, roasted potatoes & fruit | Chicken salad on whole-grain bread + fruit | Greek yogurt parfait | Slow-cooker chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans & side salad |
The important part is that this isn’t seven days of completely different groceries. Chicken appears several times. Greek yogurt, eggs, berries, rice, potatoes, vegetables, ground beef, cheese and fruit repeat throughout the week. This makes it realistic enough to actually use over and over and stop the mental load of figuring everything out.
Prep chicken, ground beef and boiled eggs once or twice a week; wash and portion fruit; make a pot of rice; roast a sheet pan of potatoes; keep Greek yogurt, cottage cheese and cheese sticks ready; and intentionally cook extra dinner so lunch the next day is already handled.
And if you aren’t a fish person, I’d replace the salmon on Day 5 with chicken so the plan stays approachable, family-friendly, and budget-conscious. You can swap any protein in any meal with one you like, have on had, or is more affordable.
PROTEIN + PRODUCE + SMART CARB + HEALTHY FAT
You can do this each week with different ingredients. It’s a simple formula.
Protein + Produce + Smart Carb + Healthy Fat
- For example:
- chicken + broccoli + potatoes + olive oil
- eggs + berries + toast + avocado
- Greek yogurt + fruit + oats + peanut butter.
This turns the PDF into something you can genuinely repeat indefinitely, swapping foods without having to start over. Use what you already have in the fridge and pantry or create your meal plan and shopping list based on this formula.
