The season is upon us to enjoy great food and way too much of it!
If you’re like me, you can’t resist the holidays and all that yummy food to be eaten! I also regret making those bad choices to consume 2 plates of food and then start in on the desserts… what was I thinking?
One of my favorite items I make for the holidays is this Christmas Cranberry Relish (Tip: you can have it for other holidays other than just Christmas!) It is easy and crazy good!
Here’s how you make it:
either chopped up a 12 oz bag of fresh cranberries or use canned cranberry like I did here this time. I’ve used both and both are delish! But fresh cranberry gives a prettier color and a crunchier texture.
Put the cranberries in a large bowl.
Chop up the cilantro, green onions and jalapeño and add to cranberries.
Add in the fresh pomegranate seeds and 2 drops of Lime Essential Oil. STIR!!!
Then add in the Sugar, Salt and Cumin and stir some more.
Let it set a bit to get the sugar to dissolve and then stir again!
Serve over cream cheese and with some yummy crackers.
When I made this I filled 4 jelly jars with the mixture. I use one jar with 1 block of cream cheese and as many crackers as you need. I’m not going to lie… I don’t use too many crackers, I could eat this stuff with a spoon!
I love this stuff! Oh my mouth is watering for some right now… (I do have some in the fridge I’m going to go enjoy once I finish posting this).
This is a super simple and DELICIOUS appetizer to bring to a holiday get together. I brought some to Thanksgiving and I think I ate more than half by myself… oops… but also gave some out as gifts.
I got this idea years back, not sure if Pinterest was around yet, and not sure where I got the idea/recipe but everyone that has tried it wants the recipe! It’s that good… and remember I said it was easy to make too!!!
