Last year was a great year, so many things happened in our life that were worth remembering but most of all are the PEOPLE that I remember.
NEW People I met online and offline through bible journaling.
Ones I had to say bye for now to when we moved across the south.
Friends that I haven’t seen in years came back into my life.
And got to embrace people that GOD wanted in my life, that i never otherwise would have met or developed a friendship with.
Relationships are what make life worth living. The community we find in our families and friends help us live life. These relationships keep us going, they get us through the difficult times and rejoice in the blessings together. They stretch us to be better versions our ourselves and challenge us to grow in Christ.
He made us for community.
At the end of 2016 I was feeling… NO craving connections on deeper levels. I needed more PERSONAL interactions and engagements. It didn’t surprise me when I spotted (In)Courage’s new book Craving Connection was about Real-Life Engagement. God always seems to listen to the hearts of his people and provide tools for their needs. This book will help fulfill our desire for unity and connection with God, our friends, and our community!
Craving Connection is a journey with (in)courage writers sharing real-life stories, practical Scripture application, and connection challenges that will encourage you to:
(1) embrace the desire God has given each of us for connection
(2) invest in meaningful relationships, right where God has you
(3) become the friend you wish you had
And, you’re invited to find out more at www.incourage.me
Not only did (In)Courage have a new book, they also created some super cute gifts to share love and encouragement with others. You can see this cute Art Clip Frame that comes with different cards to display, that Dayspring sent me to share with y’all!
I totally think that this one is my life’s motto?! Can I get an amen! LOL I love how beautiful this art frame is and the style of it is simple farmhouse (which I LOVE). Dayspring actually has a few different kinds for different home decor styles (can you say genius?) You can see more of their new line of friendship gifts here.
Like this cute mug that sums up almost any time I spend time with a friend over a cup a coffee! Problem is I never want that mug to go empty. (You can grab this cute mug here.)
Can you think of a few friends this applies to?! I can name so many and I’m so thankful that I have those women in my life. A goal this year is to share more cups of coffee together!
Do you remember those BBF necklaces growing up? Well here is the next cutest thing and a more adult take on those half hearted best friends forever necklaces! These Wear-One Share-One necklaces are so cute and you get to keep one for yourself and give one away to a friend.
I plan on giving mine to a friend I miss so much! The back of this “Hope” necklace (they have other words) also has Hebrews 6:19 on it. That verses says,” We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” This friend loves anchors and sending her this gift will show her that I thought about her and also remind her of me. Whenever I see anchors I think of her now and pray for her. Man I miss that girl! I pray she will be blessed when she gets this beautiful necklace in the mail from me!
The (in)courage community invites you to grab a cup of coffee, pull a chair up to the table, and commit to creatively and prayerfully fulfilling your cravings for connection. This year I’m doing that through deeper community online with bible journaling friends BUT ALSO and more importantly with REAL LIFE (offline) friends!!!
You can grab a copy of Craving Connection over at Dayspring here. I received this copy for free to share with y’all! I have read a few of the devotionals and I’m super excited to read more and bible journal what God would speak to me. God is already using this book in many ways to speak to my heart.
