The ashes. The after. And the beauty in between.
You don’t have to wait for the ashes to stop burning before life turns beautiful. You just might need help recognizing it.
This is a space to figure out how to process what has happened in our lives and try to move forward towards grow. It’s a safe space to say the hard parts out loud. And to recognize the messy parts that were actually beautiful now that we are finally on the other side.
THE ASHES
I won’t ask you to pretend they’re not there. They might be still hot or it’s been years since the fire, they still mark us.
THE AFTER
I won’t tell you exactly what your next chapter will look like.
THE BEAUTY IN BETWEEN
I will help you notice the beautiful things that are already happening—even while the pain still hurts.
I’m not promising to fix your life. I’m offering help for you to see your life differently.
Sometimes the beauty is obvious.
A new baby.
A wedding.
A new house.
A answered prayer.
But sometimes it’s tiny.
A child reaching for your hand.
Laughing when you thought you couldn’t.
A friend sitting beside you without trying to fix anything.
Making dinner when you really didn’t feel like it.
Getting out of bed.
Hopping in the shower.
A quiet morning.
A second chance.
A moment of peace that lasts approximately 14 seconds before someone asks where their shoes are.
The beauty doesn’t have to be big to be real.
And I think that is what “The Beauty in Between” means. It isn’t toxic positivity. It isn’t pretending the ashes aren’t still warm.
It’s learning to say:
This hurts. And this is beautiful.
I’m grieving. And I’m grateful.
I’m tired. And I love this life.
I don’t understand this. And I still have hope.
The ashes are still burning. And there is beauty here, too.
We are more than the ashes of our lives.
