I have had 5 babies yall! Let’s just say my body has been in mother mode, and while I’m not sure that it is done having babies (yes I just said that!) I want my body back! At least for a little while! Let’s look at my journey on the FASTer Way to Fat Loss Program.
This was my body last April in 2018.
Struggling with trying to lose weight for the past year, my ears perked up when some friends of mine became FASTer Way Certified Coaches and I saw what it was doing for them. I have already decided my health was worth the investment years ago when I went oily… but now it was to a different level. I needed to start working out and eating better too!
NOPE not going to say that! so…
I joined a gym (Planet fitness because it’s cheap! and they have so many things there like massage chairs and water beds and angel beauty lol, oh yeah they have workout equipment too!) Started buying healthy foods, gave up my cokes and signed up for FASTer Way to Fat Loss.
My Journey on the FASTer Way to Fat Loss Program
While my sole reason isn’t to lose weight, it’s a BIG one! I have a very small frame. I’m under 5 feet tall and clearly have been in the Obese category of my Body Mass Index. I don’t put a ton of care into what that index says, but it does have some truth. A 5 foot girl can’t walk around at 160 lbs and be considered healthy!
In the last year I have managed to get down to 150 ish. I haven’t been able to break that weight until now! I started implementing some of the things I was learning from just following the FASTer Way girls on social media and was able to get down to 145.

I officially started my 1st Round with FASTer Way on April 15th. It’s 7 weeks long, 1 prep week to learn all the things and then 6 weeks of the program! I went ahead and bought the planner/journal (that’s not included it just helps you stay organized, and yall should know I love a planner!)

Non Scale Wins
While I have seen the pounds drop (THANK YOU FWTFL!) I have had many other great victories off the scale! I’m getting stronger! Yes you workout on this program, of course you don’t have to but you won’t see great results lying around the house either. A HUGE benefit of working out is you get STRONGER… wow it’s such a profound thought! DUH Ashley, you are lugging around these kids with weak muscles… I’m not even sure at this point I had any muscles. I do in fact know I have them now because I get sore when I workout… and THAT’S A GOOD SIGN, it means you are doing WORK! (Now you also have to be sure you are being smart. Listen to that body of yours! They are such amazing creations!)
Another victory is that my clothes fit! Clothes I thought I couldn’t fit into ever again fit. Clothes I thought were cute so I bought even though I couldn’t squeeze into them, FIT! It is so fun to wear clothes you like and feel cute in! I never thought I would see those days again after 5 kiddos.
I sleep better. SAY WHAT! Yes I love my sleepy time rub, it helps me sleep and helps other members of my family, but there is nothing like be able to get through the day, without wanting to nap and be able to actually fall asleep at night and not have insomnia. Exercising during the day, getting some sun, filling your body with healthy foods and supplements HELP YOU SLEEP BETTER! Praise Jesus cause every mamas needs sleep! You may have gone SOOOOOOO long not having any that you now think you don’t need it… girlfriend you need sleep!
I’m happier! My days aren’t as stressful… I mean they still are but when you exercise your body can release some of that stress! And stress in your life produces cortisol which stores fat around your mid section… um hello big belly no one wants unless there is actually a baby inside there! I love having my kids pat my tummy and ask when the new baby is coming … um kids, I’m not pregnant but thanks! (insert eye roll!) AND everyone else thinking you are expecting the next baby cause your belly sure does look about 20 weeks along…. um nope, THERE IS NOT A BABY IN THERE I PROMISE!
ugh! Oh yeah back to my happiness! LOL I’m happier, less stress, less belly fat, not looking pregnant anymore! WIN!
At the end of Week 2 I’m already in a new weight range and I’m so happy! I event seen this small in like 6 years yall! And while I don’t suggest you keep hopping on the scale, um I can’t not. It’s like a game for me because this scale works with an app on my phone and tells me fun stuff. I’m a numbers person, sorry not sorry!
