I’m so excited to get this little book in the mail! I got it a few days ago and all I could think about was diving into God’s Word and creating beauty, but my schedule just was so crazy over the past days that I couldn’t. I was sad, very sad.
Until I have time to set down and get busy, I wanted to share with you some details of the Bible I choose to start this journey with in case you are looking to join me in this fun journey of discovering God’s Word and the World of Art Journaling!
I decided to go with this Bible–>
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version, Journaling Bible (Original, Black)
Let’s take a look.
This one is two column. There is another one just like this but single column but it’s a few more dollars so I went with the cheaper one and just kinda more familiar with the two column.
The pages aren’t super thin but they are thin Bible pages. You can see through to the text underneath the page.
Since it is a journaling Bible, there are lines on the margin. At first I didn’t like this but now I love it! They aren’t super dark so you can color over them no problem BUT they a perfect guides to help me keep my journaling straight!
Also the pages are cream the one on the right side. I wished they were white but it really wasn’t THAT big of a deal to me. It’s actually cool because on my first page I used white ink and wouldn’t have been able to do that if the page was white.
So there you go… now go get yourself one and join me on the Journaling Bible Journey!
Praise the LORD I now have time to create…. well I made time. People make time for what’s important to them right? After the kiddos got in bed mommie started to have some fun and spend some time in her new Bible. By the way, I have a thing for Bibles, we have like a million, okay not really but we have a LOT!
That is SO cool! I definitely want one now!
It has really been fun to journal and spend time in His Word like this! I hope you are able to get, it’s soooo much fun!
I have been looking for a new bible that allows me to interact more with the text, my current one just doesn’t provide the room to do anything other than highlighting. My question for you is, what pens do you use so that they don’t bleed through? Is there a particular brand or type of pen? Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful idea 🙂
This is awesome, thank you for sharing! I’ve been looking for a new Bible that allows me to creatively interact with what I’m reading and learning. My question for you is: what type/brand of pens do you use so that they don’t bleed through? Thank you! 🙂
